So a week has gone by since I've kicked myself up the ass and knuckled down to what I've been loving all this year and that's the lifestyle change!!
Crap has left the cupboards,Musclefood orders placed,Meridian peanut butter is filling up the kitchen and Whey Hey ice cream dons the freezer.
And the result this week............9lbs off!
Now before you and I get all excited I need to point out that it's 9lbs off a load of weight I'd put back on over the last month. Another 5lbs will see me move back to the 42lbs I dropped before my head "was in the shed"!!!
Plenty of walking this past seven days has been great, paired with the weights and punchbag sessions outside in the nice weather.
I remember Non saying to me that when I started the eight week plan back at the end of January,it was the worst time of the year to start.......rugby season on the go and shit weather........I'll tell you what,I'd much prefer walking in sub zero temps at 6am than the sun in my eyes as it is now!
But punchbag and weights on the decking however,I much prefer than being indoors!!
Running low on PAS phase three so will need to order more soon as well as Musclefood chicken breasts. But gotta say I've had a freezer full of Whey Hey ice cream since Musclefood started selling it so last night as a treat I tucked Into a few scoops from the tub........guys it's delightful and I'd recommend you get some for those treat cravings we all get!
Today I've restocked on bagels, hams, fruit and sugar free squash so I'm ready for another good week and hopefully step up the training.
Speaking of which,in September I will be a 52 mile in aid of Ty Hafan which I'm sure you will all agree is a phenomenal charity. My mum who's just retired recently, worked for many years in the children's hospital at UHW and I know some of those kids have been in and out of her ward over the years and I see how much it has had an effect on her. So doing this ride I and my seven other riders from ASDA Coryton are hoping to raise £1000.
If there are any businesses out there who would like to help with the £1000 target we are planning on having cycling shirts printed. For a donation, however big or small it is,we plan to have your websites and logos printed on those shirts. If you would like to get involved or even donate raffle prizes then please let me know at [email protected]
Finally if it wasn't for me stumbling upon Non Evans' twitter feed back in January I don't think I'd even be dreaming about a 52 mile ride, let alone doing it!!!
Thanks for reading,
